The Office Malagasy d'Etudes et de Régulation des Télécommunications (OMERT) is the regulatory body for telecommunications in Madagascar. The approval from OMERT generally refers to the process by which telecommunications companies or service providers must seek official permission or clearance from the office to operate or offer certain services in the country.
