Syria STE label requirements:
There are no specific label requirements, however it is suggested that you use the CE Mark label guidelines.
Frequencies allowed in Syria
900 MHz is allowed and is used by many of the local cellular providers.

January 2021
Safety Test Report EN 62368 is required for new approvals
Syrian Telecommunications & Post Regulatory Authority (SY-TPRA) announced that starting from
20 December 2020 the safety test report according to standard IEC 62368-1 will be required for all new applications.
Based on the official announcement, SY-TPRA will not accept safety test reports according to the old
standards IEC 60950-1 and IEC 60065 after 20.12.2020 for new submitted applications.
For the renewal of already approved devices, SY-TPRA informed us that the old submitted test reports based on
the standards IEC 60950-1 and IEC 60065 will be accepted further on; i.e. there is no need to perform
new testing for renewal applications.

Type Approval in Syria
The Syrian Telecommunications Establishment (STE) approval refers to the authorization or certification given by the STE, which is the government body responsible for regulating telecommunications in Syria. This approval is typically required for businesses or individuals to import, install, or use telecommunication equipment, devices, and systems in Syria. The STE ensures that all equipment complies with local regulations, standards, and security requirements.
For example, if someone wants to bring in telecommunications equipment like mobile phones, routers, or satellite communication devices, they would need to get approval from STE to ensure the equipment works correctly with Syria’s telecommunications infrastructure and adheres to the country's regulatory framework.
This process is important for maintaining control over the telecommunications sector, ensuring the quality and security of services, and preventing the use of unauthorized or harmful equipment.

Lead time is approximately 4-6 weeks from the time all documents have been collected.
