Uzbekistan Regulatory Approval
Type Approval in Uzbekistan
In Uzbekistan, MiTC approval refers to the certification or approval process managed by the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan (MiTC). This ministry is responsible for regulating, overseeing, and promoting information technology (IT) and communication infrastructure in the country. The Ministry of Digital Technologies was established by Decree No. PF-269 of December 21, 2022 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Telecommunication Services and Equipment
Companies that wish to operate telecommunication services
or use specific communication equipment in Uzbekistan may need MiTC approval. This can include licensing, registration, and certification of network equipment, communication devices, and software solutions to ensure they meet local standards and comply with regulatory requirements.
IT Products and Software
If a company plans to introduce software products or technology solutions (especially foreign ones) into the Uzbek market, MiTC approval may be necessary to confirm that the product complies with national cybersecurity standards, data protection laws, and technical specifications.

MiTC type approval in Uzbekistan requires acceptable CE reports.

May require 1 sample setup for conducted testing required for in country testing, including all cables, adapters, software, etc. to put the equipment into test modes.

Lead time is approximately 7-10 weeks from the time all documents have been supplied.

The MiTC certificate is valid for 1 year.

Uzbekistan MiTC label requirements:
There are currently no marking requirements however it is advised to have FCC or CE marking standards on your product.
Pre-Shipment Inspection for Exports to Uzbekistan
The Pre-Shipment Inspection service ensures that all shipments, that have a minimum contract value of US$10,000.00 are inspected in the country of export before they are imported into Uzbekistan. Frequencies allowed in Uzbekistan
The 900/1800 MHz radio frequency bands are shared by the mobile operators Unitel (Beeline), Coscom (Ucell), and Uzmobile.
Mobile networks and carriers in Uzbekistan use 2 GSM bands, 1 UMTS band, and 1 LTE band.

Regulatory Updates For Uzbekistan
June 2024
Tashkent, Uzbekistan – Today, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) handed over new IT equipment worth approximately $50,000 to the Energy Market Development and Regulatory Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The equipment includes computers, printers, and telecommunications equipment to support the agency staff in carrying out the next stage of reforms in the energy sector in accordance with the presidential decree in September 2023.
August 2019
The Uzbekistan Ministry of Development of Information Technologies and Communication ('MITC') announced, on 16 July 2019, that Resolution No. 589.15.07.2019 on measures to organise the activities of the technology park of software products and information technologies had been adopted ('the Resolution'). The Resolution approves the regulation of the technology park for software and IT development (‘the TechnoPark’). In particular, the MITC noted that legal entities registered in the Republic of Uzbekistan will be able to apply for the status of a Technopark resident by submitting certain documents, such as a business plan, and agreeing to conditions of activities with the directorate.
