Type Approval in Turkmenistan
In Turkmenistan, the MoC certification refers to certification issued by the Ministry of Commerce (MoC), which is responsible for regulating and certifying products and services in the country. MoC certification is typically required for products and services to ensure they meet specific standards for quality, safety, and compliance with Turkmenistan's regulatory requirements.
The Ministry of Commerce and other governmental agencies in Turkmenistan work together to oversee various aspects of trade, consumer protection, and industrial standards. Certification by the MoC is crucial for businesses seeking to export or import goods into Turkmenistan, as well as for companies operating within the country to ensure the products or services they offer are approved by the government.
This certification process can apply to various sectors, including:
Industrial goods
Food products
Products like machinery, equipment, and materials may require MoC certification before they can be sold in Turkmenistan.
Imported or locally produced food items may require MoC approval to ensure they meet safety and health standards.
Pharmaceuticals and medical supplies
Products in the healthcare sector also undergo certification to ensure their safety and efficacy.
Companies looking to do business in Turkmenistan or export to the country must go through the MoC certification process, which can involve product testing, document submission, and an inspection process to confirm compliance with national regulations.

Regulatory Updates For Turkmenistan
February 2011

The president of Turkmenistan asked the government and the ministry of communications to look at the set-up of private mobile operators and joint ventures with international companies to provide mobile services, Turkmenistan.ru reports.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was quoted saying that the share of national companies in the JV should be more than 50% and that the state would help these companies by providing soft loans.
He reportedly said at least that three independent mobile companies should be set up to encourage competition and the expansion of scope and quality of services, especially for the high-speed internet communications.
He also said that all newly created companies should get a national name, as for example Galkynysh.
Government officials have been asked to prepare proposals to be examined at the next cabinet meeting.
